Guest Speakers
It was our pleasure to welcome three fantastic guest speakers to our support group this month!
First up we had David and Janet from Natural England, telling us all about their project for Hatfield Moors to make it more accessible for people with visual impairments. David and Janet are looking for visually impaired people to join them for an afternoon consultation, so to find out how you can get involved in that, email david.fanaroff@naturalengland.org.uk or janet.canning@naturalengland.org.uk. It's a really beautiful area, so your input could be vital in helping people with sight loss enjoy all that it has to offer.
Following on from Natural England, we had our friend Jason Shaw of VisionAid Technologies Ltd, who came to show us all the latest and greatest gadgets that can help with daily living. It’s always great having Jason visit as it makes our tech guru, Shaun, a bit giddy.
