“I just wanted to email to express my thanks for your super speedy delivery. My product arrived today after only ordering yesterday. I was so impressed and my pupil is already using the typescope to help with their work. Thank you once again for great service and for making things that wee bit easier for me to support pupils in my class!”

“Greetings from your many friends of Murgwanza Special Education Unit of Murgwanza Primary School in Tanzania. I am excited to let you know that I have just collected two parcels containing exercise books and protractors. I hope the other parcel is on the way. On behalf of the school authority, students and Ngara community at large, I am thankful. Be blessed abundantly. To be honest, these resources will bring positive results for the learning of the children with disabilities in Ngara and Karagwe districts. Best wishes from Brian and myself Aleen.”

“I have just been thinking about how much The Partially Sighted Society helped me last year and would like to say a big thank you. As you could tell from my first visit I was very unsure and emotional in that my sight, at certain points of the day, had significantly deteriorated but my optician and the eye clinic said that they could find no reason apart from my cataracts possibly getting worse. After a bad day I rang your society and was so relieved to find an organisation who would listen and try to help. Our first meeting was so comforting and informative. The eye examination was top class and the realisation that my new glasses with an incorrect prescription was the reason for my intermittent clouded sight was an intense relief. Since your optician confirmed that my 5 year old glasses prescribed by my excellent previous optician in Halifax were still suitable, I am using these and have had no further problems. So, thank you very much for helping me. Kind Regards, Rosemary”

“I thought you might like to see the message we received, via our friend, Ahia, from the head of the special education unit out in Ngara, Kagera region (western Tanzania) on being offered books and the items that you kindly donated and were surplus to Mvumi's requirements.

Bwana YESU apewe sifa ,kwa uzima na afya asubuhi hii. Vyote naona vinafaa vikipatikana, nahizo daftari pia.

Roughly translated, it reads: Jesus be praised for life and health this morning. I see that everything, including the exercise books, is suitable and can be of use. Mvumi selected 2 keyboards and the Braille Keyboard, the calculator, protractors and both talking watches together with mostly narrow-lined A4 exercise books plus a few wide-lined and squared ones. These, together with a bundle of school-size exercise books for the Lion King Primary School SEN, a mixture of A4 and school-size exercise books plus protractors for Ngara and a mixture of A4 exercise books plus protractors for the people (students and adults)with disabilities that Patrick Matonya (Mackay House, Dodoma) helps are now on their way, courtesy of AfB. More will follow! Thanks again! Aleen.”

“Dear Anita, Thank you for providing the opportunity for me to attend the low vision assessment at the partially sighted society with Gary last week. It was a very scientific and clinically-rich experience. Thank you and Gary and all the team at the Partially Sighted Society. Thank you for being so friendly and helpful. I wish you all a safe and happy life filled with achievements. With kind regards, Asmaa”

“I wasn’t expecting your call but you have made my day. I feel as though I have a chance to have my life back. I’m not sure how to cure the Corneal Neuropathy but I will do whatever it takes to stop my eyes becoming dry. Thank you so very much for your knowledge and information 🙏. With the upmost appreciation, Sharon Ken”

Thank you so very much. Yours Sincerely, Beryl.”
